Today I stumbled across a saddle most interesting. Not so much an "I want it!" piece of tack, it did look interesting to make.
It's advertised as a 16" barrel racing saddle with lots of bling. I'm not sure I would ride in it personally, but I do admire the details, the small conchos and tooling especially :)
I'll probably never make a saddle like this for myself, but I do love the embedded leather idea, and may use that. Braymere Custom Saddlery made a tutorial on this exact technique. I imagine this sort of saddle could look charming with a child rider set-up.
Have you guys seen saddles like this, or others you would like to see in a spotlight?
In other news, just a few pieces left to cut for Feather's saddle, then on to dye! I've got some different supplies, so I'll be trying different due methods and doing comparisons for you guys :)
