Woohoo! Tickets and workshops are paid for, hotel booked, it's official!
I actually went to breyerfest last year, rather shortly after discovering the model horse hobby. I was blown away by how big of an event it was, and had an absolute blast!
There was so much to do, but it was HOT out every day, and the covered arena seemed hotter with all the people packed in, even though the shade felt nice.
This year I'm putting together a short list of things first time visitors will want (mostly things I wish we had from the start)

- Sunglasses- The Kentucky Horse park is gorgeous, but there's a lot of white. The glare was bad enough we left the first day to get everyone a pair, even Jade (who usually won't tolerate them)
- Fluids- this one is pretty obvious, but for little ones, avoid juice. In the heat, any juice (even watered) was spoiled by noon. There is drinks there of course, but they get pricey.
- Camera- a cell phone version works, but there's tons of opportunities for reference photos, and you may want better quality pics for that (my phone's camera is what we've seen here so far)
- Cash- there's visitors selling everywhere, even kids. While some of the vendors (the breyer store especially) don't mind plastic, cash is king!
- Good attitude- it's easy to get frustrated with lines, crowds, and heat, but is this really an experience you want to miss out on by being a grouch? If needed go off property for lunch (I recommend sit down type eating, feel that A/C!)
For NaMoPaiMo, I can see the finish line approaching with Riddle. The mane still needs fiddling with, but overall I'm happy with how things are coming.
Who else is going?! I would love the chance to make some hobby friends this year, and what better place to make some?!
