This week I worked on or finished a few small projects I've had waiting, either for materials or timing.
Firstly I made two simple jump poles. I'll need them for a performance set up in October, plus a good excuse to use the dremel :)With the extra dowel I was also able to make a single bending pole.
I also tried making both a cavaletti block and bending pole base, but small fingers got ahold of them in the night.....
Lastly I finished my gaming reins. The braiding has long since been done, but now they are easy to attach to the bridle, and a small touch of bling.
All together now, plus a bareback pad I'm fiddling with. Who can resist playing with new tack and props?
I remember my trainer having us go over poles like this, for balance and helping students feel the gait of the horse.
