New(to me) Friends

Yesterday I picked up a bag of classic breyer bodies I found locally. When we arranged to meet it was a lot of 11; including including two foals (one missing it's tail). The seller also said these guys were loved, so I was expecting body condition.

When I met with her, there was good news! She had found 3 more and tossed them in with the lot, but did warn me one of the found was also tail-less. Today I'll introduce half of them, and the other half next time. A few of these guys may also go up on MH$P to help cover the cost of the group, so if one calls to you, let me know!

  1. Scamper- the adult without a tail. He can't stand, but I think a new tail would fix it without leg alteration. Nice color, but I think I'll try to sell him, hopefully someone can make him great!
  2. Flicka- Pretty rough shape, but in one piece at least haha. My daughter, Jade, claimed this one, so maybe a project once she gets bored or breaks it.
  3. Black beauty A-Pretty little chestnut, but lots of rubs. I'm happy to have her on the shelf for now, but we'll see :)
  4. Black beauty B- Hey a repeat! Does that count as a conga haha?! This one is a sorrel, but in pretty similar shape, aside from a wicked nostril rub.

  5. Redbird- Jade claimed this one too, but overall a pretty little thing. I'm worried about the mane in the face though, anyone dealt with that before?

  6. Duchess- Pretty clean, but has clearly spent some time around paint, there's streaks of gold on her back! Her ears are in pretty good shape, along with her nose, so maybe just a good clean...

  7. Shetland- Not going to lie, I am most excited about this girl. She's technically a traditional scale, but has the worst rubs.
(Note, this picture is her good side) Even worse though, is her left ear...Its not chipped, but broken! Does anyone know a good ear sculpting tutorial? I'd love to get started on her, but haven't sculpted yet.

That's it for today! Next time I'll introduce the other seven, and hopefully  have an update on Feather's saddle.
